Look for Reliability from a Commercial Grass Cutting Service

It will take you all of five minutes to find several commercial grass cutting companies in your area. The internet has made searches like that quite easy.  What isn’t easy is choosing a reliable company which will fit within your budget.  For that to happen you will need to consider a couple factors, and those factors are the reason for this article. Read on and then, if you have further questions, give us a call.  We are Keith’s Tractor Mowing out of Fort Worth, Texas, and we have the answers you seek.

Reliability is the key

As the title of this article suggests, we believe, with all things being equal, reliability is the key in choosing a commercial grass cutting company.  Please note we said “with all things being equal.” This is an important distinction.

The commercial acreage lawn care industry is like the Wild West: there’s a gunslinger around every corner.  You can find Bob and Jake, two high school buddies, working to make money for college. They are using an old Toro push mower. They have practically no experience, but they are cheap. They will mow your lawn for $25 which is by far the lowest quote you will receive.  However Bob and Jake do not have liability insurance, and when they mow over your sprinkler head, and the repairs for that accident will cost you $500, Bob and Jake are nowhere to be found.

On the other end of the spectrum we have ABC Professional Lawn Care, and they want $250 per visit which will include insurance coverage, twenty years of experience, high-end equipment  and a ton of reliability.  But can you afford $250 per visit?

Let your budget thin out the field

Follow these steps:

  • Begin by determining how much you can afford to pay for commercial acreage mowing.
  • Call around for estimates
  • Choose three companies which work within your budget.
  • Ask questions and make sure you know exactly what is included in the price quote
  • Call the Better Business Bureau to make sure those companies have a good reputation
  • Ask for references and call those references
  • Make your decision

Too complicated?

If you are in the lower 90% of wage earners in the U.S., money Is important to you. If you are hiring for a job which will cost a couple hundred dollars, then don’t you think taking a bit of time to find the right company is warranted?  Very few of us have money to waste.  And very few of us have detailed knowledge about service companies in our area. So you simply have to take the time to find out  this information before committing your hard-earned money.

The Market in your area will dictate a general price range.  Most field mowing services will be within that range with their quotes.  If that is true, and it is, then choosing an acreage mowing company, or a lot mowing company, will then boil down to the reliability of that company.

Reputation matters, and that is a truism in any business and life in general.
